Capitol Quarter Selected for National Award
Capitol Quarter was recently named "Best Urban Smart Growth Neighborhood - Platinum Award" by the Best in American Living Awards (BALA) committee. The BALA competition is sponsored by Professional Builder magazine and the National Association of Home Builders. BALA is considered the most prestigious new home design competition in the industry. Annually, building leaders, design professionals, architects, and land planners gather to select the new home community which best represents Smart Growth principles. Judges praised Capitol Quarter for excellence in land use, home design, environmental protection, energy efficiency, proximity to retail and public transportation, and delivering a genuine sense of place. The award details will be published in the upcoming issue of Professional Builder magazine. Capitol Quarter is a new mixed income community situated among seven city blocks, just steps from Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The neighborhood is comprised of new townhomes with rooftop terraces and affordable rental homes. The first phase of construction is nearly sold out. Home buyers interested in the new construction townhomes should visit the sales office and decorated model homes, located at 1020 4th St SE, Washington, DC 20003. Open daily 11 AM – 6 PM. |
