If you're an art lover, you won't want to miss one of the D.C. area's most impressive art festivals. The 16th Annual King Street Art Festival in Old Town Alexandria takes place on September 22-23 and is free to the public.
Those familiar with Old Town know its dedication to preserving the art and culture of the historic city. Stroll down King Street and you'll find dozens of unique galleries, independent boutiques, and restaurants. Visit the Torpedo Factory to see 82 working artist studios and explore unique galleries and exhibits. The city is bursting with art and inspiration.
Keeping with the tradition of celebrating the vibrant art scene in Old Town, the King Street Art Festival will bring the work of over 200 artists from around the world to Alexandria. The festival will transform King Street into an outdoor art gallery spanning 6 blocks, allowing visitors the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind pieces and meet the artists behind the work.
Enjoy the day strolling through the streets while browsing paintings, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, photography, and more created by local, national and international artists. Plus, we are thrilled to participate in the festival this year as an exhibitor. Stop by the Robinson Landing booth to learn about the exciting archaeology finds discovered onsite and the vision for the Old Town waterfront.
The art festival will be held at 220 King Street in Alexandria, VA. It is open Saturday, September 22 from 10am - 7pm and Sunday, September 23 from 10am - 5pm. We look forward to seeing you!

When we heard that one of our Robinson Landing homeowners had founded the ALX Dog Walk to not only raise awareness about sustainable living and reducing plastic use, but also to raise funds to beautify the City of Alexandria and protect its environment, we knew we wanted to learn more and support her efforts. EYA proudly sponsored the 2022 inaugural dog walk, and we’re excited to sponsor the second annual walk on April 29, 2023 in Oronoco Bay Park in Old Town Alexandria (you can register here). And, we have been so impressed with her work that we wanted to share her story. We hope you enjoy the following Q&A with Robinson Landing resident and ALX Dog Walk executive director, Julie Chapman, to hear about her work and learn how you and your pup can participate in this year's walk!
