The Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA) Land Development Council awards program honors leaders in the industry and celebrates creative development projects that are sensitive to the environment and promote best building practices. And for 2016, EYA received two top awards.

EYA is the recipient of the 2016 Wm. S. Marvin Hall of Fame Award for Design Excellence by the editors of Builder Magazine. The annual award is presented exclusively to one U.S. home builder and two architectural firms who have made significant contributions to the nation’s residential housing industry. EYA President and Co-Founder Bob Youngentob accepted the award on September 15, 2016. Sponsored by BUILDER Magazine, honorees of this award include builders across the country who are raising the bar for the housing industry through innovative building practices and who demonstrate a commitment to environmentally-friendly construction and design excellence. The award celebrates how great design enhances the local landscape, enriches the lives of the residents and influences the work of others. Every year, Smart Growth America presents the LOCUS Leadership Awards to developers and investors who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to public leadership, smart growth development and furthering the mission of advocating for sustainable, walkable urban development.

The Washington Post’s 2014 Top Workplaces have been released, and EYA is one of them! We ranked #5 out of the 80 small companies (50-150 employees) included on the list. The article mentions that our “employees enjoy a fun atmosphere” and commends our “charitable foundation, the EYA foundation” for its great contributions to the communities where we build.
