Car Free Day is just around the corner! On Tuesday, September 22nd, park your car and go car free or car-lite by taking an alternative mode of transport such as biking, walking, Metro or carpooling. To participate, take the pledge to go car free or car-lite and you’ll be eligible to win great prizes, including a Capital Bikeshare membership and new Kindle. Giveaways and raffles will also take place on Car Free Day at various locations around the Washington area. The EYA Foundation proudly donated 25 backpacks to Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP) as part of the company's summer meeting in Bethesda. MHP provides the backpacks to kids-in-need at their after-school homework club in Silver Spring. The organization operates affordable housing communities throughout Montgomery County and serves their residents with a variety of programs designed to improve quality of life.
