Not your typical tree lighting ceremony, downtown Silver Spring will be unveiling its 30-foot holiday tree made of recycled glass and kitchen items on Saturday, November 14th! The public art installation will feature spatula snowflakes, take-out food containers, utensil tinsel (u-tinsel) and a beautiful blue glass bottle star. The tree lighting and street fest begins at 6 PM and also includes food tastings, live music, drink specials, an ice skating Santa and more!
