On Saturday, October 24th, zombies are taking over downtown Silver Spring! The 7th annual Silver Spring Zombie Walk is a ghoulishly good time as party-goers wander through the streets and enjoy zombie-themed events.

Cultures from around the world will be showcased at the World of Montgomery Festival on Sunday, October 18th! This free event highlights cultural diversity and understanding with international food, music, crafts and more.

Just one Metro stop from Westside, discover the sights and sounds of Rockville Town Square's Friday Night Live. On Friday nights through September 4th, enjoy live music, great food, and drinks from the many excellent restaurants onsite. Events are from 6:30 PM - 9 PM and the Town Square is just a short stroll from Rockville Metro Station. Tonight's performance is blues & soul by the Sandra Dean band.

Recently, Kevin Bacon and his band, The Bacon Brothers, enjoyed some of Old Town Alexandria’s charms. While in town for their show at the Birchmere, they stopped off at the Sugar Shack and the Port City Brewing Company. Even a musician/actor such as Kevin Bacon couldn’t pass up performing for a free Sugar Shack Pastry. That same day, the inspiring band also performed a surprise concert for the Volunteers at City Blossoms, a neighborhood organization dedicated to creative green spaces.
