When we heard that one of our Robinson Landing homeowners had founded the ALX Dog Walk to not only raise awareness about sustainable living and reducing plastic use, but also to raise funds to beautify the City of Alexandria and protect its environment, we knew we wanted to learn more and support her efforts. EYA proudly sponsored the 2022 inaugural dog walk, and we’re excited to sponsor the second annual walk on April 29, 2023 in Oronoco Bay Park in Old Town Alexandria (you can register here). And, we have been so impressed with her work that we wanted to share her story. EYA Foundation was happy to donate 37 backpacks filled with school supplies for kids in need through the Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP). The MHP operates affordable housing communities throughout Montgomery County and serves their residents with a variety of programs designed to improve quality of life.

On Friday, October 19, EYA employees gathered for the EYA Foundation's annual Day of Service in Old Town Alexandria. This year's recipient of giving was the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority (ARHA), an organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and economic opportunities to residents of Alexandria.

EYA Foundation proudly donated 28 backpacks filled with school supplies for kids-in-need through the Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP). The children (who are ages 5-11) are enrolled in MHP’s after-school homework club in Silver Spring.
