It's hard to imagine that a 150-year-old neighborhood is now considered "up and coming", but it certainly is!

With EYA's new townhomes at Chancellor's Row at Brookland Metro, ABDO's 9-acre mixed-use town center development, big plans for McMillan Reservoir and the North Capitol Street cloverleaf, the Brookland neighborhood is prime for many, many positive changes.

Although - we agree that it's perfectly quaint and beautiful already, a few new fun shops and restaurants couldn't hurt. Local real estate expert, Bo Menkiti, had this to say, "Many buyers come here because they were priced out of other neighborhoods like Capitol Hill,” says Menkiti. “They want more space and room for a yard. In Brookland, you can sit on your front porch and hear the birds chirp, but you’re still very close to downtown.”
