Washington-Based Real Estate Developer EYA and The Community Foundation Award Two More Scholarships to Ward 5 High School Seniors

Washington, DC – EYA, in partnership with The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 Chancellor's Row College Scholarship Fund.

The fund, established as part of the St. Paul’s College redevelopment now known as Chancellor’s Row, provides scholarship monies to Ward 5 High School Seniors. Two recipients were selected for award:

Samantha Washington graduated from Capital City Public Charter School and will be attending Hampton University with a concentration in Communications. Sharee Smith-Taylor graduated from Woodrow Wilson Senior High School and will be attending the University North Carolina at Greensboro studying Communications with a minor in Journalism. Additionally, EYA and The Community Foundation are in the process of contacting last year's winners to renew their awards for 2013.

The Scholarship provides $2,000 per student per year (up to 4 years) for college-bound seniors. So far, the fund has awarded scholarships to five students from Ward 5.
