Bethesda, MD – In celebration of the settlement of EYA’s 3,000th home, Chairman Terry Eakin made a surprise visit to the settlement appointment with the company’s newest homeowners.
To mark the special occasion, Eakin presented Melinda and Torger Wuellner with balloons, AMC Theatre gift certificates for 3,000 pieces of popcorn, a gift certificate to The Cheesecake Factory for 3,000 calories, an Amazon.com gift certificate for 3,000 pages of reading and travel rewards worth 3,000 airline miles and 3,000 minutes of hotel stay.
The elated couple purchased an EYA home in Chancellor’s Row, a new townhome community in the northeast quadrant of Washington, DC within walking distance of Brookland Metro station. “Chancellor’s Row is everything we were looking for under one roof,” said Ms. Wuellner on choosing the neighborhood.
Realtor Jennifer Myers, also surprised by the special occasion, shared her thoughts on the EYA experience. “It’s their first home and every step of the way everyone at EYA has gone above and beyond,” said Myers.
The Wuellner’s shared their excitement about being the 3,000th settlement, and look forward to moving into their new home. “EYA’s organization really showed through, from the inspector to our new neighbors to the quality of the workmanship,” Ms. Wuellner said. “The whole process has been extremely smooth and we couldn’t be happier.”
“We are incredibly honored to reach this milestone, building as many homes as Harry Wardman, who is recognized as one of the most influential builders in Washington’s history,” said Eakin. “What we do makes such an impact on so many people’s lives – not only those of us who work at EYA, but our residents who ultimately live in the homes and the communities we build.”
Next year, EYA will celebrate another major milestone – 20 years in business.
