EYA Staffers Roll Sleeves Up for 2013 Day of Service Blog Feature

Nearly 100 EYA staff and vendor partners gathered last Friday for the company's annual Day of Service. The event benefited the residents of Parkway Woods public housing, a community managed by Housing Opportunities Commission Montgomery County.

Initiatives included painting doors and trim, painting common areas, improved hardscape and landscape, and the resealing and striping of the parking lot. EYA also provided a BBQ lunch, activities, and a free annual Community Center membership to the residents.

Grant making priorities include contributions, donations, and sponsorships for programs focusing on disadvantaged populations, job training and education, beautification of neighborhoods, and the rehabilitation of support facilities for the under-served.
