Got plans this weekend? Don't forget to leave yourself a little more time to get around the DC metro area.
The Marine Corps Marathon will shut down several roads in the District and Arlington on Sunday. If you need to cross the river, note that the Key Bridge will be closed until 12p.m. and certain 395 lanes will also be inaccessible. You can find the course map here.
Metro will start running early at 5.a.m. on Sunday in light of the marathon, but Metro also expects delays for planned track work on the Green/Yellow, Red and Orange lines from 10p.m. today through 5a.m. Monday. They recommend riders add approximately 20 to 30 minutes to their commute times for certain portions of these lines.
We're left thinking: Perhaps it's a good weekend to check out Capital Bikeshare or stick close to your own neighborhood? After all, if you're living in an EYA townhouse, you've got life within walking distance.
