Looking for Labor Day weekend ideas? Your local EYA neighborhood has plenty to keep you active and entertained all weekend long.
Downtown Silver Spring
Kick off the weekend by picking up some fresh, local ingredients at weekly FRESHFARM Farmer’s Market held every Saturday from 9 AM – 1 PM. Invite your friends and family over for a Labor Day get-together at your beautiful new EYA townhome. You’ll enjoy cooking in your gourmet kitchen and entertaining on your spacious rooftop terrace.
Bring the kids down to the Interactive Fountain to soak in the last of the Summer fun. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxed dinner on the patio at one of the downtown restaurants.
Bethesda
Head over to Cabin John Regional Park and enjoy the outdoors in this scenic 528 acre park. Unwind with a picnic or get active out on the hiking and biking trails or tennis courts. Be sure to bring your four-legged friend for a trip to the dog park!
If a leisurely brunch sounds tempting, Mon Ami Gabi is serving an extra day of brunch for the 3-day weekend. Indulge in Waffles with Nutella, Steak Frites, crepes and more. After brunch, wander through the shops at Bethesda Row and treat yourself to something special.
Rockville/Gaithersburg
Now in its 77th year, the Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade will be hitting the streets of Olde Towne. Beginning at 1 PM, the parade will feature high school marching bands, dance groups, antique cars and more. Free parking will be available in the Olde Towne garage located at the corner of Olde Towne and Summit Avenues.
Or check out the acclaimed DC Labor Day Capitol Concert on Sunday, September 6th at 8 PM. Just a quick trip, all of EYA’s neighborhoods are just minutes from Metro. Avoid weekend parking hassles and simply enjoy the concert!
