The Old Town Boutique District is gearing up for a Black Friday extravaganza! Many of your favorite shops will be opening early on November 28th and offering once-a-year deals on clothes, accessories, home goods and more. Early bird shoppers will be rewarded with the best deals as many stores will be featuring 30% off starting at 6 AM, 20% off starting at 8 AM, and 10% off starting at 10 AM. The free King Street Trolley will begin shuttling shoppers from the metro at 6 AM. The city will also be offering free parking at meters and city garages all day long.
After a fun day of shopping, head over to Market Square for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Beginning at 6 PM, the festivities will include special appearances by Mayor Euille and Santa Claus, live performances and the lighting of the City tree.
The deals and discounts continue on November 29th for Small Business Saturday. Many of the boutiques will offer gifts with purchase, merchandise discounts, yummy treats and more. Plus, bring two receipts from local Old Town shops to the Alexandria Visitors Center and receive a free Rebecca Minkoff designer "Shop Small" canvas tote bag (while supplies last).
