St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Grab your green and get ready for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in your EYA neighborhood. From date night Irish take-out meals and bon bons to live music and plenty of Guinness, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on this fun holiday.

Old Town Alexandria, VA

For a casual day, stop by The Irish Walk on King Street and pick up some Irish attire and accessories. This unique gift shop has Celtic jewelry, Guinness accessories and special St. Patty’s Day items such as shamrock glasses, necklaces and more. Then head over to Eamonn’s A Dublin Chipper for a bite of fish and chips and a Guinness.

If you are in the mood for date night, Society Fair is offering a special Irish Date Night Bag. $49 for two people, this special take home meal includes corned beef and parsley sauce, boiled potatoes, and more. Pick-ups are available on March 16^th and 17^th, but be sure to place your order now!

Or, for something more lively head over to Murphy’s Pub for a pint of Guinness and some live music. Doors open at 9AM with live music beginning at 10AM. There is no cover charge and it’s sure to be a fun time!

Fairfax, VA

O’Malley’s Irish Pub at Tyson’s Corner is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all week long. From March 16^th to 22^nd, they will be offering food and drink specials and live music. Their brunch menu includes steak and eggs, corned beef hash and a Build Your Own “Bloody Mary” Bar. Their dinner menu features corned beef brisket, beef and Guinness pie, fish and chips, chocolate Guinness cake and more!

Mad Fox Brewing Company in Falls Church is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Party beginning at 3 PM. They will be serving some great craft beers and food specials, with live music beginning at 4 PM.

At Mosaic District, Artisan Confections is preparing a special treat this St. Patty’s Day. Pick up their St. Peppermint “Paddy” and Irish Coffee bon bons, available now through next week. Artisan Confections and all the other exciting Mosaic District retail shops and restaurants are just steps from EYA’s townhomes, now over 95% sold out!

Bethesda, MD

The establishments in Bethesda are starting the celebrations early! Stop by Redwood Restaurant and Bar this Saturday, March 14^th for St. Patrick’s Day specials including mini Shepherd’s pies, Star Hill IPA cheddar and potato soup, corned beef and cabbage and $4 Guinness.

The folks at Georgetown Cupcake are creating some fantastic holiday cupcakes, as usual! Their St. Patrick’s Day dozen includes Irish Crème, Chocolate Mint Crunch, Peanut Butter Fudge and more.

For some good bar fun, head over to Union Jack’s on Saturday beginning at 4 PM for St. “Practice” Day drinks. The real party begins on the 17^th at 8 AM with a free breakfast being served until 10 AM! Drink specials and Irish menus continue throughout the day. Flanagan’s Harp & Fiddle will also be having festivities all day long with live music, Irish dancers and bag pipes!

Silver Spring, MD

Stop by The Fillmore on St. Patrick’s Day for happy hour from 4 PM – 8 PM. Entry is free as they will be having DJs and drink specials at this great venue in downtown Silver Spring. For an evening in a Classic Irish Public House, head over to McGinty’s for some food and drink.

EYA’s Chelsea Heights townhomes are within walking distance of all the great downtown Silver Spring shopping, dining and nightlife. Immediate move-ins are available.
