School’s out! Now what? Sure, the summers are hot and humid in Virginia, and the air conditioning makes you want to stay inside all day, but don’t let your kids get stuck sitting on the couch for the next few months.
Instead, take advantage of Alexandria’s Power On! summer camps and activities. With over 50 camps to choose from, you’re bound to find something for even the most die-hard video gamer.
There are sports camps for both the rookie and the seasoned athlete, and for everyone in between. Choose from basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, and even Olympic events, among others.
And don’t forget to sign up early for swim lessons, offered for all age groups and talent levels. In addition, camps include performing and visual arts camps, science camps, and nature camps. This program also includes activities for teenagers, like the counselor in training (CIT) program, a few pool parties and all-day field trips.
