Whether you are rooting for the Seahawks or Patriots, or just a fan of the commercials, this Sunday’s Super Bowl is a great opportunity to gather with friends and enjoy the local establishments in your EYA neighborhood.
Super Bowl excitement is in the air at Fire Station 1! A 100-year old restored Fire House in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, the venue features 3 levels, 2 bars and 10 big screen HDTVs. Doors will open at 4:30 and early arrival is encouraged. VIP packages are available and you can continue the festivities until 2 am at their After Party.
Bethesda
If you prefer to entertain friends at home, Luke’s Lobster Roll has a great Super Bowl catering option. For $11 per person, you will get a tasty ½ lobster roll, chips, pickle and Shipyard beer. $110 minimum required. What better way to finish off the meal than with Georgetown Cupcake’s Super Bowl Dozen! You can choose between the “Go Hawks” or “Go Pats” decorated cupcakes.
Old Town Alexandria
Old Town is full of game day excitement with many great venues to watch the big game. The medieval-inspired John Strongbow’s Tavern will have 2 huge 120” projection screens showing the game and plenty of Super Bowl food and drink specials. Reservations are encouraged. If you are a Patriot’s fan, Murphy’s Irish Pub is “where die hard fans gather to cheer on their team.” Meet other Patriots fans and enjoy their game day specials.
Fairfax
Watch the game at Dogfish Head Alehouse or pick up some party food to go. Special take out packages and growlers are available. For entertaining at home, check out the many shops and restaurants at Mosaic District to pick up some great party foods. Red Apron Butcher is offering game day specials, including subs, chili, dips and charcuterie boards. Be sure to place your order soon. And delight your guests with Artisan Confections special Seahawks or Patriots bon bons for dessert!
