We're giving away a free Capital Bikeshare membership once a month to one lucky Facebook fan! It's our way of thanking you for going green with us and taking more cars off the road!

With Capital Bikeshare, you can grab a bike and pedal to your favorite destinations – all at no charge for trips under 30 minutes. It’s a super easy way to get around town – and burn a few calories while you’re at it. There are over 1,100 bikes at over 100 locations throughout DC and Arlington, with expansion occurring every day.

Once a year, the foundation awards grants to non-profit organizations and private foundations working in the Washington metro area. Grant making priorities include contributions, donations, and sponsorships for programs focusing on disadvantaged populations, job training and education, beautification of neighborhoods, and the rehabilitation of support facilities for the under-served.
