The plan allows for over 1.8 million square feet of mixed-use development; this includes over 1,100 residential units (condo, apartment, townhomes, and independent/assisted living), over 180,000 square feet of retail, 260,000 square feet of office, and an expansive coordinated park network across all the blocks. EYA is currently building the first phase of the development, which includes 80 townhomes, the grid of streets to make public road connections to Wiehle Avenue to the west and Sunset Hills Road to the north, and the delivery of the approximately 1-acre neighborhood park.
EYA obtained CDP/FDP approval though Fairfax County, along with permits for the public infrastructure work and the 80-townhome site plan. EYA worked closely with the local Supervisor’s and staff to develop a road and park network that met the goals of the Comprehensive Plan and extended the mixed-use retail environment across Wiehle Avenue from the metro station. Construction commenced on the first phase of the project in July of 2020.
